Received his superior diploma from the National Institute of FineArts at the Lebanese University.

1971

Confirms his talent by copying the Masters in international museums.

1974

Granted professorship at the Lebanese University.

1976

Establishes himself in Paris

Receives a certificate from the Commission de la professionnalité des artistes graphiques, plastiques et travailleurs intellectuels.

He carried out various international exhibitions in France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain,               Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg, Ukraine,Norway, Japan and the USA.

1986

Laureat of the grand prize on the Ile des impressionistes and acquisition of the piece by the Maison Fournaise museum.le musée de la maison fournaise.

1990

Participates in the creation of  La spirale des Abesses”, a mural for the RATP in a Parisian Metro.

1991

Paticipates in the completion of “Le pont de Paris”, a mural carried out by Sandnes in Norway.

1992/99

Paravision film company sponsored an important Tannous artist studio in Paris.

1991

Founder and President of “Carré Ouvert”, an official and international association for professional artists.

1992/2001

Tannous enters into a major collaboration in Paris with the Japanese gallery “Mitsukoshi”.

1992

Participates at the québeco-french culturel festival in Carroz/France.

1996

Exhibits at the Caesars Casino in Atlantic City/U.S.A.

Vice President of “France Okinawa”, a cultural association meant to encourage relations between France and Japan.

1997

Exibits in Hamburg, amongst ten talented artists all selected and presented by “Karstadt”, a  prestigious commercial firm in Germany.

Founder and President of “Europ’art”, an official association for professional artists specialized in the creation of  large murals.

1998/2002

Opens an art gallery-atelier at 34 av. des Champs Elysées in Paris.

1999

Exibit at the “international art festival” in Kiev/ Ukraine

2000

Travels on tour in Japan, organized by the Mitsukoshi gallery: Tokyo,  Nagoya, Sapporo, Seindai, Fukoka, Matsuyama and Takamatsu.

Recognized and presented by the scientific,economic and cultural Guide”DerPfiffikus“from the Braunschweig region and surrounding cities in Germany, for his newly create technique.

2001

Carries out artworks on large-scale coffers, which were then exhibited in German airports.

2002

Receives a patent for a new technique that allows the realization of free and protected compositions on floor surfaces.

2006

Jean Tannous is equally renown for his portraits, which have been carried out for major screen actors, many religious, athletic and political figures, namely the former president of the USA who posed in Paris in 1982, Jimmy Carter.
